Latinos in Hollywood

How many times have you scrolled through Netflix and saw stereotypical Latino movies and leads? Narcos, Latin lovers, funny sidekick and don't get me started on stereotypical Latina narratives. Folks like Edwin Porres Jr. are out here changing the game. Edwin was born in Guatemala and raised in West Virginia. As a Latino raised in the United States, he didn't recognize himself in the stereotypical Latino roles depicted by Hollywood. So he wrote Hóllyweird with the intention to reflect his own experiences in Hollywood. He then finished the script with his wife, Jamie, whom you’ll meet during our Cafecito & Chisme portion.
