Breyers, your family favorite ice cream brand has partnered with Latinx Therapy to launch Conversaciones Vainilla – a program to help encourage, inspire and facilitate meaningful conversations amongst Hispanic/Latino families.
Latinos have limited access to culturally responsive services that reflect an understanding of their cultural norms, and acculturation experiences. With Conversaciones Vainilla, the goal is to encourage nuestra familias to engage in behavioral health conversation about everyday topics such as therapy, dating, religion, and finances among others.
“Nationwide, there are only 10.8% Hispanic and Latino identifying Marriage and Family Therapists, and 5% of Hispanic psychologists” said Latinx Therapy Founder Adriana Alejandre. “As a valued brand within Hispanic households, we’ve partnered with Breyers to spark conversations within families to demystify the stigmas that repeat within multigenerational household.”

Diego Montemayor is the CEO and co-founder of Chamba, an app aimed at helping the hispanic community find jobs throughout the US. As an immigrant and Latin entrepreneur, Diego sees the potential of minority groups and how they positively impact a country’s economy through the power they contribute to the workforce. His mission is to help as many members of his community find jobs, as he believes employment is the foundation for the American Dream.
Corina Hierro is a community manager for Chamba. Growing up, Corina had big dreams of creating an impact in her community, and as a Mexican immigrant, she knew her purpose was to use her talents to amplify Latinx voices. Shortly after the pandemic began, she joined Chamba with the goal of improving access to employment for underrepresented groups.

Illianna Acosta is a Dominican-American Latina born and raised in Queens, NY. Today, she is a Senior Manager of Channel Sales at LinkedIn and the Global Co-Chair of LinkedIn’s Hispanic Employee Resource Group (HOLA).
She's also on the National Board of the 100 Hispanic Women National organization, Co-President of the Cornell-Johnson Alumni Club of New York City, and author of her b-biweekly LinkedIn newsletter, “Lost in Translation." Illianna launched this newsletter to shine a light on the challenges and limitations that under-represented groups experience that impact the way we show up at work and in life.
